CatBuy
CatBuy is the Web-based system for purchasing goods and services at UC Merced. It features electronic catalogs for many of UC Merced’s strategically-sourced suppliers.
CatBuy complies with UC Merced procurement policies and is connected to the Procurement Services and Accounts Payable system on a real-time basis, which means it can immediately validate accounting information and fund availability.
Workflow Process
Workflow is a new customized electronic requisition process within the CatBuy system. It allows end users to initiate requests in the CatBuy system with automatic approval routing through the system.

Training & Authorization
Each CatBuy user must take the FAU, Procurement Services and CatBuy Training classes and pass a test to acquire the authorization to use the CatBuy system.
To check training schedules and enroll in classes, please go to the training site.
Online Training
There is also an online training site in development. Although the training on this site currently does not replace the “hands-on” CatBuy Training, it will provide some guidance when users are new to the system, have not used it for a while, or have a question about how to do something. We plan to make it available soon.
